The White/Core Black adidas NMD R1 sports an upper with a base of breathable, stretchy, loose-weave knit. Synthetic adidas three stripes grace the side panel, while white synthetic eyestays provide support over the midfoot. A white synthetic heel counter features embossed adidas tree foil branding and a heel pull tab. The white midsole is made of Boost foam for cushioning and springy energy return. Synthetic midsole plugs give the shoe it's iconic look and provide durability. The rubber midsole has lugs and grooves for traction as well as cut-out vents that allow the Boost to expand.
What we love most about this sneaker are the hits of black on the sole unit that relieve the ghostly white-on-white palette of this shoe. One of the plugs is black as is an outer strip of rubber on the lateral side of the outsole. The adidas NMD R1 White Black was released on August 18, 2016, for a retail price of $130.
